Where it all begins~

Hey everyone! Its me, Alexandra Morgan. The one behind all of the jewelry you see on this site. The one who designs, photographs, manages, mails out, lists online, packages, and so much more!

I graduated from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a minor in metals. That is where I have learned most of my skills but it is a continuing learning process and I still teach myself new things everyday, and that is one of my favorite things about this form of art.

"Do what you love, and do it everyday"

I can relate so deeply to that saying because I make sure I fill each of my days doing at least one thing that I love and will make me smile. Most of my days I work on my jewelry and doing that already fills my day with a lot of happiness and I know I am lucky to be able to focus on my jewelry alone and keep it going everyday.

So after college I moved back home and was able to set up my studio in my families detached garage (thanks dad for giving up part of your garage space). Out there I have everything I need to be able to make all of my ideas come to life. Its my little space where I can go and sit down at my bench and look at my pieces of glass and become inspired.

Speaking of glass pieces, all of my jewelry is made with hand cut glass. So yes, all of those colorful stones you see are all pieces of glass that I have hand cut down and shaped and filed and fired in a kiln. Glasswork has always been one of my favorite forms of art. I've done some stained glasswork, fused glass, and some glass blowing (which had to be my favorite!) One day it came to me that I should use my own fused glass and incorporate those pieces into my work, and after trying it out a couple of times I decided I loved the results and kept with it!
